I have been really encouraged by all the positive comments so far, so I thought I would create a central place where everyone can introduce themselves and let us all know about your experiences as we go along. At the top of the page there is a tab called ICMYT – Who’s In? Please click on it and then say hello by leaving a little bit of info about yourself (as little or as much as you like). I have started the ball rolling and would love some others to join me.
If you want to maybe just say a little about yourselves and what you hope to achieve that would be great and then maybe report back from time to time with how things are going.
So with no more ado – over to you…….

Hiya
This is a cool idea. I have to admit, when I saw his show for the first time I was a bit disappointed. It sounds like another book i read before called DIETS DONT WORK”. I mean, its fine to follow the rules–but doesnt it all boil down to “buying into the program”?? I mean–sure I can say to STOP WHEN I AM FULL…but what if I “dont wanna?” like any diet, it does require willpower. He is trying to make it sound like an easy fix..and its just not.

well laura the thing is he dosnt just tell you to “stop eating when your full” he knows that your will power might not be as strong as someone elses. what i like about it is he helps you through that he give you ways and techniques to help you overcome the urges. putting the fork and knife down, and not looking at the food, for example. Its also, all in how dedicated you are as well. I think this sounds like a good new way to try to slim down and am personally going to give it a try.
I’m in, and going for it. Just watched a tv program on TLC and I like the 4 golden rules. That’s all I know about is program; I never heard of this guy before.
I am 57 and need to lose 100 pounds for health reasons… hypertension, diabetes II.
So…
1. When you are hungry, eat
2. When you eat, eat what you want, not what you think you should eat.
3. When eating, eat consciously
4. When you are full, stop.
I love it!
i just finished this week’s program and missed a lot due to easter company, i think its great and cannot believe how much more you actually “taste” the food and savor it…i have already cut down what i eat tremendously and am eating what i want but only when i’m hungry and am trying to stop when i begin to feel full, which isn’t easy , but coupled with eating consciously, its getting easier every day…i love everything he says…success in everything begins in the mind and that is what paul mckenna is all about, after all , he is a hypnotist…i am having a blast doing this…it is so easy!!!
I just started the program today and for the first time I actually TASTED my food. I ate probably 8 bites and was full. I am feeling excited about this and cant wait to see how well it works. My husband and I both started! Will keep checking in to see how everone else is faring.
I’m in! So glad to see this little forum starting. Love the show and looking forward to learning more survival skills!! The tapping technique really does work. I have been practicing it with every event that is causing me stress and or/desire to engage in emotional eating – I was even able to avoid eating any Easter candy and yet – I didn’t forbid it – I just wasn’t hungry for it. That was a first.Pretty cool.
My friend and I are gearing up to start a weight-loss plan this coming Saturday and I was all set to try the low-carb thing again even though I have a hard time sticking to it long-term. Then I saw Paul McKenna’s show on TLC and everything he said made so much more sense! I told my friend about it and he’s totally excited to try this so we’re both onboard to get started. It’s exciting to see so many other people interested in this, as well. Good luck to all of us!
Not only has this program helped my husband and me to learn how to slow down, eat conciously and listen to our bodies tell us when they are full, but it has helped us be better parents. We have a daughter who has food issues. Every night was a struggle getting her to eat her dinner. We would insist that she finish everything on her plate despite her tearfull declarations of being full after only a few bites. We realized that we were training her to ignore her body just as our parents had done for us. Now when she says she is full we listen to her and let her know that if she feels hungry later that she can let us know. We realized that now she eats more than she did before, but not all at once. She eats several small meals through the day. All along we thought that we knew what was best for her, but turns out she instinctively knew what her body needed. Now, we try to follow her example!
I started on Paul’s program about two weeks ago, and have notices a HUGE change! I have noticed that, since I have started listening to my body, that my clothes fit better. The best part of all is today, I started laughing after eating lunch, and my wife asked what’s so funny. I told her that I can’t believe that just two weeks ago, I would have had at least 2 and a half to three plates of food. She told me that she’s noticed that I am not eating as much. This is incredible! And so easy too! It is still a constant battle to remind myself to slow down when eating, but the rewards are awesome! Good Luck to everyone!
